“Living with Soul in a Material World” John James, Hilary James and Marg Garvan.
We live at a time of unrivalled prosperity and unmitigating sensuality and spiritual drabness, probably unparallelled since the time of the Romans. With enormous courage people are everywhere trying to regain their spiritual purpose and identity, to reconnect with the fullness and joy of their souls. This is such a hard thing to do in our culture that many doubt it is even possible.
In these three days we will, through discussion and personal experiences, affirm and even rediscover our natural connection with soul. We will come to understand that, in spite of the scepticism of our times, there is solid scientific evidence for the existence of a spiritual form, unique to every individual, that enriches and informs us. We will provide from our enormous experience in soul recovery the methods we can use to understand our soul's journey, and how that should become the focus of our lives if we are to be in tune with the whole – an intuneness that leads to life becoming simpler by finding that we are in alignment with the world around us in daily decisions and outcomes.
Our experience and skills have evolved over a generation of working together with our clients on soul-related issues at the Crucible Centre. Australia is noted for the originality of its people, in film, science and though, and has a highly developed interest in personal spiritual journeys of self discovery.
Dr John James is well known for bringing a spiritual attitude to people studying the labyrinth, including leading three-day seminars at the cathedral of Chartres organised by Robert Ferré and Lauren Artress. He is a founder of the Crucible Centre where a training course in Transpersonal Psychology has been run for the past fifteen years. He is also a world authority on the history and sacred meaning of the cathedral of Chartres. He has published ten books and over fifty articles on these subjects. He is a fascinating public speaker.
Hilary James has studied therapy techniques in America and Australia, and is a full partner in John's spiritual and gothic work. She is a teacher and therapist at the Crucible Centre with a heartful approach that is the core of successful healing. Hilary has a post-Graduate degree in transpersonal therapy, and brings a deep attunement and lively imagination to her work, especially in voice dialogue and in her deeply intuitive approach to children through sandplay.
Marg Garvan is a widely recognised practitioner with her own practice and a director of the Crucible Centre. She has an extraordinary capacity to understand and communicate personal soul issues, and to sense the inner formations that we call the Psychology of Energy. Her work embodies the proper alignment between a life of soul and a life in our society. That is the purpose of this workshop.
Each of us will be available for private sessions ***
